More About This Recipe

  • Bacon and butter tastes good together? Who woulda thought?

    Oh yeah, pretty much anyone.

This recipe contains only three ingredients, but they are three of the best ingredients around! They come together to form a Candied Bacon Butter you can keep in your fridge and use to enhance almost anything you cook or eat in the next few days. I say only a few days because you will be lucky if it even lasts that long!

Put it on toast, a bagel, English muffin, baked potato, corn, fry an egg in it, cook a burger or steak with it – you may even want to take a bath in it, it’s THAT good.

Step one, place sugar on bacon and put in the oven. Yum!

The sugar melts and forms a crisp candy coating on the bacon. After it cools, chop it all up.

Then just mix it in to a stick of soft butter.

I like to form mine back into a stick, but you could put it into a container or roll it into a log if you wanted.

A perfect addition to breakfast, and a nice indulgent treat on a lazy weekend morning.
