Let’s get something straight here: This dip is not for the fainthearted, for the wimpy-tastebudded, for the rabbit food eater. It’s made of anything and everything your inner fat kid desires – chocolate chips and peanut butter and real butter and cream cheese and bacon and powdered sugar and icing, OH MY. Then, we’re going to devour it. If you can HANDLE the flav – sorry. Dig in, ladies and gents!

Peanut Butter-Bacon Football Dip

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 8 oz bacon, cooked and crumbled into small pieces
  • White icing or frosting for drawing on the laces
  • 1 box (6 oz) Nature Valley™ granola thins, for serving

Instructions

    In a large bowl or bowl of a stand mixer, cream together butter, cream cheese, peanut butter and vanilla until well combined.

    Add powdered sugar and stir to combine. Fold in chocolate chips.

    Turn peanut butter mixture out onto a sheet of wax paper. Use your hands to shape into a football (if it's too soft to hold its shape, put it in the freezer for a few minutes to firm it up).

    Carefully invert the football onto a serving plate. Coat with cooked and crumbled bacon, carefully pressing it into the top and sides to adhere.

    Use white icing or frosting to pipe on laces on top of the football. Serve with granola thins or pretzels.
