It doesn't matter – while you're gone, your cake is baking itself!The hardest part of this recipe? Keeping your mouth from gobbling all the great goodies that go into it!I lied before. THIS is really the hardest part of this recipe -- you've gotta wait for it to cool!

But if you must, you may scoop it out right now and slather it with whipped cream and chow down. I wouldn't blame you one bit. It's soooo good that way. I have no idea why I'd know that...When it's cool, cut into squares. Cover each piece with whipped cream, then wave your magic wand over it so caramel drizzle and toffee bits sprinkle down from the heavens. You're entitled. Go on. Slow-Cooker Better Than Sex Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Delights Super Moist™ Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 jar (14 oz) caramel ice cream topping (reserve some for garnish, if desired)
  • 1 cup chocolate-covered toffee bits (reserve some for garnish, if desired)
  • 1 can spray whipped cream (or homemade, if preferred)

Instructions

    Grease or spray crock of the slow-cooker well, and line the bottom with wax or parchment paper. In a stand mixer, combine cake mix, water, oil, eggs, vanilla and 1/2 of the can of sweetened condensed milk. Beat on low speed for 30 seconds, then on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into slow cooker.

    Sprinkle the milk chocolate chips over the top of the batter. Cover slow cooker and cook on high for 2-3 hours. (Check for doneness after 2 hours, as slow cookers vary widely in temperature.)

    Meanwhile, reserve some of the caramel sauce and toffee bits for garnish, if desired. Set reserved portions aside. In a bowl, combine remaining sweetened condensed milk and remaining caramel sauce and mix well.

    When cake is done, carefully remove the crock from the slow cooker. With a long skewer, pierce cake almost (but not quite) all the way to the bottom, all over the cake, making many holes. Pour caramel sauce over cake, then sprinkle with toffee bits, covering the top of the cake. Allow cake to cool completely and caramel sauce to sink in, then refrigerate cake for 1 hour.

    When ready to serve, remove crock from refrigerator and cut cake into squares. Top each piece with whipped cream, then drizzle with reserved caramel sauce and sprinkle with reserved toffee bits.
